The Ox Effect has been open since January 2017. We are a small group fitness training gym and are very excited and overwhelmed with how our community has grown. In the past year and a bit we have welcomed the most vibrant, fun and warm group of people through our doors. Our classes are designed to have you working together as a team to achieve your health and fitness goals for 2018. We pride ourselves on being a supportive and friendly place. It is important to us that we give the best care possible. In order for us to look after you we keep the classes below 14. We tailor the workouts to your fitness levels and ensure that everyone is getting the most out of their workout. We have classes running 7 days a week.
Inside & out.
We believe that to create and maintain robust health and vitality, everything must work in unison. We offer Yoga, Pilates and Meditation classes in our studio upstairs to compliment the work you are doing downstairs. Our belief is that to be strong in body and mind you must be able to do the things you love, free from tightness, anxiety and stress. Yoga, Pilates and Meditation are all controlled classes using the breath to energise the body and calm the mind.

We also offer private classes and personal training to Individuals, Businesses, Sports clubs and Schools. We have male and female personal trainers who offer a wide variety of skills to help you specifically achieve your goals.
Over 50's classes.
We offer a specialised class for clients over 50. This class uses a combination of Strength Training, balance and mobility exercises to give a great whole body workout. It is vital as we age to look after our bone density and central nervous system. We tailor the class to suit all fitness levels. Our regulars enjoy the benefits of feeling stronger, increasing energy levels and feeling much steadier on their feet in a fun, social and caring atmosphere.
