Martin finished his course last month in Personal Training with High Distinctions. His attention to detail in programming was highly commended by his assessors and is a great testament to his hard work and study ethics. Martin is now taking clients and is ready to help people transition into the fitness world. If you are looking for help and need more one on one to make sure you are getting proper technique or recovering from an injury Martin will help you! Here is a little something Martin said earlier this week.


"I gave up the only work I ever knew 3 years ago now and I am still getting away with it!
What Jess is building at the Ox helped me find where I sit with Yoga. Still a great tool for calming down but mainly as a recovery from exercise, sport or just daily physical tasks.Jess inspired me to train as a group trainer to go with the Yoga and mentored me along the way. I did that and have been leading group fitness classes at the Ox since Dec last year.

This lead to the next step as qualifying as a PT, allowing me to take 1 on 1 sessions with clients. Thankfully I just finished that qualification and I have already started taking on PTs at the Ox.Thank you Jess for inspiring me and just making the Ox Effect a bloody good place to be! I follow your lead, and have learned a lot more from you than I think you realise. Thanks to Ally Schleutker for putting up with my moods and helping me with the study (it’s great being married to an academic, when I most definitely am not!)
If you haven’t checked out The Ox yet, pls do, like us, tell your friends about us, send your football club to us etc. It’s a genuine good thing with an owner who never stops working for the best of others
We run group fitness classes all morning and evenings (from 5am!) as well as Pilates and Yoga classes in the evenings and weekends. We even have a fusion class that blends the two (HIIT style circuit with the recovery of Yoga). We are available for Personal Training clients throughout the day.

Upcoming Events

Fun Yoga is Based around a Hatha style, whilst incorporating a few other fun twists within the session. We even sign the class off with a delicious cup of tea :)

Tom Robb from Life is the Way is dropping by in August to run his 90 minute workshop, Thursday 9th August 6:00pm-7:30pm and Sunday 12th August 9:00-10:30am. Bookings essential. :) He booked out last time.
